At Linden Fields, we believe in the power of flowers to bring joy, beauty, and connection. What started as a dream has now blossomed into a flower farm where we grow unique, specialty cut flowers-fresh from the field, straight to your hands.
I'm Joleen, and alongside my husband, Brian, we took a leap of faith into the world of growing cut flowers in 2024. With Brian's unwavering support (and plenty of free labor), we built this farm from the ground up. Our goal is simple: to create a space where people can escape, reconnect with nature, and leave with not just a bouquet, but a beautiful memory.
Every flower starts as a tiny seed some in the middle of winter! Nothing fancy here, our seedlings get their start in a small room in our basement-sometimes even taking over a spare bedroom! it's a long process, but one that fills me with gratitude. Watching something grow from an idea to a seed, and then into something that brings joy to others, is incredibly rewarding.
This journey has been one of hope and humility, and we're so thankful to share it with our community. Whether you're visiting our U-Pick flower field, enjoying one of our events or stopping by our roadside farmstand for fresh vegetables, straight flower bunches (build your own bouquet with), homemade jams, sourdough bread, or tallow body butter, we hope you find something special here.
We can't wait to welcome you to Linden Fields!

March has been a whirlwind—literally. The high winds have tested every ounce of patience I have, blowing away tunnels, rattling greenhouses, and making me question why I ever thought farming in Nebraska was a good idea. One day, it’s 70 degrees and sunny, and the next, we’re bracing for storms and freezing temperatures. It’s the kind of month that keeps you on your toes, scrambling to protect delicate seedlings while dreaming of the day they’ll finally be strong enough to thrive on their own.
But despite the chaos, there’s something electric about this time of year. The first seedlings are heading out into the field, stretching their roots into the soil, and the planting continues—row by row, seed by seed, one hopeful step at a time. Every little sprout feels like a victory, a sign that warmer, steadier days are ahead.
And while the weather keeps us guessing, we have so much to look forward to! Our Goat Yoga and Yoga in the Flowersevents are coming up, bringing a chance to slow down, stretch, and soak in the beauty of the farm (with a few adorable goat distractions, of course). Plus, the farmstand is taking shape, and I couldn’t be more excited to share fresh vegetables, flowers, and locally made goods with our community.
March may be unpredictable, but it’s also the start of something amazing. The season is just beginning, and there’s so much more to come! Stay tuned for updates, event details, and all the farm-fresh goodness heading your way soon.
Who else is ready for spring to finally settle in?
